We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Patient Support Team based at our Leeds City Centre Offices, providing support for a National Diabetes Prevention Service. This lifestyle intervention is delivered by a team of Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Advisors across the UK and focuses on helping service users to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

This role would suit someone who has similar experience within a Team Leader based role.

Full time hours - 37.5 hour week

About the role

With line management responsibility you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day planning and execution of tasks so that your team meets objectives and meets agreed targets. In this way they support the business achieving the wider business targets and performance goals

  • Provide necessary business information to the relevant people including group and individual patient status & tracker information

  • Provide the team with a vision of their objectives and how they link to business performance and facilitate regular team and department briefs

  • Provide feedback as to their performance against their objectives using defined productivity measures and hold regular one to ones

  • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration and encourage creativity and constant improvement

  • Serves as a focal point to communicate and resolves issues with Service Managers and co-ordinators and attends the weekly regional status calls

  • Log, track and trend all issues and complaints. Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by them or their team whilst maintaining ownership of the issue until the resolution is achieved:

  • Ensure that the team members have the right level of training to perform their role and facilitate/undertake training where gaps may be spotted

  • Provide coaching to get to the root cause of development areas and help their teams take personal responsibility for action/development

  • Promote a culture of ownership for performance and personal development

  • Recognise and celebrate team and team member achievements and exceptional performance

  • Create an environment of trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort

  • Behave and act in a way that motivates and inspires team members

  • Create a healthy team dynamic and strive for team consensus

  • Manage difficult situations by diffusing conflict and giving data-based feedback

About You

The successful candidate will need to have proven experience of working within a Team Leader role. You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritise your work load. Experience of working within the Healthcare sector would be an advantage although not essential. This role would suit someone from a Team Leader role within a Customer Service environment ideally.
