We have an exciting opportunity available for an Applications Analyst to join our successful and growing IT Department. This role can be based in either our Hertfordshire or Bristol offices.

As an Applications Analyst, you will be working within the Group Applications Team, you will assist with the implementation, management and support of new and existing software systems used throughout ICS. You will be working as part of a team but also with the wider business and key stakeholders, therefore communication is key.

What will you be doing

  • Capture and document detailed user system requirements and communicate these clearly to business users.

  • Write specifications for modifications, data migrations and integrations between systems, UAT and regression testing

  • Work closely with stakeholders to plan, test and deliver new systems and modifications and upgrades to existing systems.

  • On-going product and supplier management

  • Maintenance and creation of support documentation

  • Communication and documentation to users of new release features

  • Assist in resolving system related helpdesk queries

  • Assist in resolving system related helpdesk queries or bugs before escalating to 2nd / 3rd line support if required, liaising with external system suppliers and internal development teams when necessary

  • Additional Developer/Application skills including SQL Server, .Net, Power Apps & Sharepoint are beneficial though not mandatory

  • Predominantly office based but travel maybe required depending on location

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service experience

  • Problem solving skills are essential

  • Management of systems experience is desirable but not essential

  • Communication skills and the ability to deal with internal stakeholders/departments, across multiple systems

  • Additional Developer/Application skills including SQL Server, .Net, Power Apps & Sharepoint are beneficial though not mandatory
  • Predominantly office based but travel maybe required depending on location

This is a permanent full time position.
